PROGRAMAS EN HOSPITAL
Sunrise Sobre Ruedas
“When my daughter was diagnosed, Wheels was there to comfort her.
She built a relationship with the Wheels volunteers,
she was so comforted by you all that she forgot all her pain.
I am so grateful for your caring…”
Sunrise on Wheels brings hours of Sunrise fun and excitement directly to children undergoing treatment in Hematology/Oncology units of participating hospitals. Sunrise on Wheels volunteers provide a playful, child-friendly program, which transforms their day from tears and sadness to smiles and laughter.
The children’s eyes light up with anticipation every time they see our smiling Sunrise volunteers wheel our signature rainbow tie-dye trunk bursting with toys, camp-like games and crafts right into their hospital. Sunrise on Wheels brings joy and laughter to patients and their siblings, while offering respite for their families, during their hospital stay. With Sunrise on Wheels, children and families can enjoy those simple pleasures of life while at the hospital.
Imagine children having so much fun at the hospital…they don’t want to leave.
At Sunrise on Wheels, we see this all day long!
Sunrise on Wheels is a truly unique hospital outreach program, offered as part of Sunrise Day Camp’s year-round programming.
